1 DVD 20€
Released on December 1st 2018, this DVD gathers together the works of Augusta that remain available within her family.
Devayani’s musical compositions spring forth from her deep spiritual connection with her grand-mother Augusta as she accompanies the presentation of each painting.
Devayani was 14 years old when Augusta left us. Music brought solace to her heart and a great source of inspiration. Devayani began composing at that time and the same fertile source continues to inspire her work today.
In 1962, at the age of 44, while mourning the departure from her beloved country of Algeria and the sudden death of her husband, Augusta met the master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov.
Her exploration of the subtle world of the soul began. After 13 years of inner work, concentrating on the Light and the practice of meditation at sunrise as taught by her master Omraam, she discovered a new need in herself: painting.
She found great freedom of expression through the fact that her first goal was not to produce artistic works. It was rather a way of expressing the deep energy of her soul, a daily impulse to demonstrate and share her spiritual experiences through her work.
Augusta was prolific in her creation. She painted almost daily for thirty years and gave away most of her paintings. She left this world on June 26, 2002.
“La Roulotte d’Augusta” (“Augusta’s Gypsy Caravan”) – from Devayani’s 1st album “Réminiscence” – ends this slide show. This tender piece accompanied Augusta in her last hours. It is an evocation of her life as Devayani felt it, a symbol of the soul that makes its pilgrimage through the universe in an infinite and eternal journey.
